The Photo Shoot

What to expect...

We will first have a consultation so we can find out everything we need to know about you and your dog: what their characteristics are and the best ways to display your Artwork after the session. Your photoshoot will be tailored to your requirements.

We will then meet at our discussed location where we will take a relaxing and fun walk. We will allow your dog to get used to us and the camera, then we will start capturing some images. Some shots will be posed and others will be of your dog enjoying their walk.

Where will my session take place?

During your consultation we will discuss possible locations for your photo shoot.

We have many locations that we have carefully selected so we can be confident to get the best out of the environment for your photo shoot. However, most importantly we want you and your dog to feel safe and secure and we can discuss alternative locations during our consultation.

Does my dog have to be well trained?

We are well adapted to work with all  types of dogs. Our best trick is to help them feel relaxed and make the whole shoot a fun experience. We have many fun ways of getting your dog's attention so that we can capture their true character.

If your dog needs to be kept on the lead, this is fine. We can take out leads in post production. We also have a variety of leads to use to make this process smoother and have a long line we can use for action shots.

Basic commands such as 'sit' and 'stay' are still beneficial, so brushing up on these commands can be helpful.

What if it rains?

The Great British Weather can always be unpredictable. Although we don't mind a bit of rain, this can also lead to bad lighting.

We will make a decision the day before the shoot if the weather is looking bad. If this happens I will call you and we can reschedule the shoot for another day at no extra cost.

What if my dog is nervous?

Please let us know during your consultation if your dog is nervous. We will take a little extra time for your dog to familiarise them self with us the camera and the environment.

The happiness and well-being of your dog comes first and we want to capture your dogs character and personality in their shoot. We will do our upmost to ensure your dog is happy and comfortable.

However, if we feel your dog feels unhappy, nervous or threatened in any way we will ensure your dog has a positive experience and  rearrange for another day.

Do you only photograph dogs?

We love capturing the special bond that owners have with their dogs. So if you would like to be in the shoot we will happily photograph these special moments. These shots can vary from full body to just your legs, it's completely up to you!

We also photograph most other pets, such as horses, cats, guinea-pigs, rabbits, gerbils and tortoises to name a few!
